Resumption of religious, work gatherings to be reviewed by IATF today – Palace

By Prince Golez

The government may reconsider its prior decision to allow religious gatherings in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ), Malacañang said Friday.

In an interview on GMA’s “Unang Hirit,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases will meet today to discuss the matter.

Roque hinted that the ITAF provision on work meetings will also be reassessed.

On Thursday, Roque said the IATF allowed church activities and essential work to resume in GCQ areas provided attendees should maintain a distance of at least 2 meters from each other and wear a face mask.
