Any mode of public transportation will still be prohibited in areas under modified enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), Malacañang said.
In a virtual presser Wednesday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that train systems, buses, jeepneys, taxis, TNVS, and tricycles are still barred during this condition.
On Tuesday, Roque announced that Metro Manila, the province of Laguna, and Cebu City, which are considered to be at high risk for coronavirus infection, will be placed under modified ECQ starting May 16.
However, Roque said that public transport will be allowed in areas under general community quarantine at limited capacity.
