Areas considered as low-risk for the coronavirus transmission will be placed under modified general community quarantine (GCQ), according to Malacañang.
Yesterday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque cited the recently-issued IATF Resolution No. 35 that 41 provinces and 11 cities across the country will no longer be under community quarantine by May 16.
“Ngayon po, lahat ng areas sa Pilipinas meron pa ring community quarantine from modified ECQ to GCQ to modified GCQ,” he added.
During an online press briefing, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año clarified that low-risk areas will be under modified ECQ due to concerns raised by several local government units.
