Palace reminds public: Still no leisure travel under MECQ

By Prince Golez

Only essential travel is allowed under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), according to MalacaƱang.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque reminded the public that movement for leisure purposes will remain prohibited in areas under a more relaxed MECQ.

“Iyong mga leisure po, iyong mga tipong bibisita sa ating mga kamag-anak, kung pupuwede po ay maiwasan po muna iyan kasi talagang wala pa pong ganiyang pahintulot ang IATF; nililimita pa rin po natin sa essential travel,” Roque said during an interview on dzBB.

Also, the Palace official justified the President’s trip to Davao City last Saturday, saying it was part of his job.
