The Funko Pop craze has reached the Duterte Cabinet.
Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar recently received his own adorable big-headed Funko figure during the recent Father’s Day celebration.
A customized four-inch large-eyed toy statue is one of the gifts Villar received from his family on the special day.
“Being a father is the best job I had so far,” Villar captioned a photo with his daughter Emma Therese on Facebook.
In the photo little Emma held a special card with the message “Dad You’re the Best” while the Funko Pop figure of Villar was placed on a nearby table.
Justice Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay-Villar also paid a touching tribute to her hubby Mark on Father’s Day via Instagram. She thanked Mark for being an “amazing dad and person” as she listed down the kind gestures he made for the family.
“We love you so much, Dad. Thank you for always having time for us, for putting us first, for taking the best care of us, for providing for our needs even before we knew we needed it, for protecting us, for making sure we are always comfortable, and for loving us without measure,” she said.
“Thank you for staying up late to watch over us when we are sick; for fixing and assembling things in the house and being our IT/tech guy; for killing any mosquito or fly that could potentially bite us or bring germs near us (yes, he is that protective); for being our happy umbrella-guy and carrying our bags for us even when we insist we can do it; for NEVER complaining when we take too long in the bathroom; for playing dolls, dress up and hair salon games with us; and for just simply being the amazing dad and person that you are. You are our everything, Daddy Mark. We love you so much. ❤️Happy father’s day!” she said.
