The government’s chief information minister is going green.
Presidential Communications Operations Office head Martin Andanar has started an urban garden in an effort to grow his own food.
In a latest video on Facebook, Andanar went to a True Value store and bought items in preparation for his vegetable garden.
“I’m back to the soil after 27 years when my father enrolled me at the UPLB College of Agriculture in 1993 so I could be a farmer. #plantplantplant #day1,” he wrote on Facebook.
“You will see in this video the exciting journey from garden tools search, greenhouse construction to my first day of planting,” he said.
In the video, Andanar got some help in building his outdoor garden bed. With his blue cap and home clothes on, he is later seen planting vegetables like sitaw, okra, peachy, eggplant onto the small pots.
“Sana tumubo ito. Our first delivery, our first harvest,” he quipped.
