No spectators will be allowed at any sporting events or workouts across areas under different community quarantine classifications, according to Malacañang.
In a statement released Friday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that indoor and outdoor games will be played without fans in attendance.
“The members of the IATF prohibited spectators in all outdoor non-contact sports and exercises in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) and indoor and outdoor sports and exercises in areas under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ),” Roque also said.
Indoor and outdoor non-contact sports activities and other forms of exercise such as running, biking, golf, swimming, tennis, badminton, equestrian, and skateboarding are allowed under GCQ and MGCQ.
Last July 3, the IATF approved the resumption of practice for basketball and football teams despite the ongoing health crisis brought by coronavirus disease.
“Pinayagan yung practice at conditioning ng basketball at saka ng football sang-ayon sa request ng PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) at ng ibang football association,” Roque announced during a Laging Handa public briefing.
