President Rodrigo Duterte is set to address the nation on Tuesday, his spokesman said Monday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque in a virtual presser said Duterte will deliver his next public address from Davao City.
Friday last week, the Chief Executive flew to Zamboanga City to meet with policemen and soldiers following the fatal shooting of four army intelligence personnel by police officers in Jolo town, Sulu province.
During his Talk to Troops, Duterte instructed the National Bureau of Investigation to “search for the truth” as he assured justice for the slain military men.
“I am giving you my word of honor that the investigation will proceed to find out the truth unfettered, unbridled by anybody except ‘yung sa trabaho. Walang makialam at ‘yung totoo lang. Iyon ang maasahan ninyo. At kung sino man ang may kasalanan, then he has to pay for it,” according to him.
