President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday urged the Philippine National Police to show resilience amid the country’s fight against coronavirus disease pandemic.
In a taped speech during the 119th Police Service Anniversary celebration, Duterte told police to adopt new normal and safety protocols.
He likewise expressed his gratitude for their “selfless” service for Filipinos in this time of crisis.
“Be assured of the nation’s gratitude for your significant contributions to the campaign against illegal drugs, criminality, and terrorism,” said Duterte.
“May we build on the gains of your achievements and continue to serve with honor and justice,” he added.
