A group claiming to support President Rodrigo Duterte and calling for a supposed revolutionary government is nothing but a bunch of hangers-on, Sen. Panfilo Lacson said Saturday.
Lacson said Duterte does not appear to be involved with the group, which tried to invite Philippine National Police chief Archie Gamboa to its meeting.
“Yan ang gawin ng mga sipsip na wala sa lugar. Mabuti na lang si Gen. Gamboa di niya pinatulan. At wala dapat pumatol sa ganyan. Kasi anong dulo niyan, anong tinutumbok nila? Under the administration magtayo ng revolutionary govt? Anong pakay?” Lacson said in an interview on DWIZ radio.
He said these groups should not be taken seriously, as they seem to be enjoying perks as “supporters” of Duterte, and do not want this to end.
“Dapat huwag patulan, kasi ito siguro mga nasarapan sa buhay nila dahil di naman sila Presidente kundi tagasuporta. They never had it so good. Gusto nila siguro mag-revolutionary govt para wala nang election. Mga sulsol na wala sa lugar. Ang tawag ng mga karpintero riyan, wala sa hulog,” he said.
Lacson said he does not think Duterte himself is involved with these groups.
“I don’t think so. Nakita natin pag nagsalita maski in private or small group meetings, pagod na pagod na ang mama. Maski nang simula pa lang ito ibabagay ko lang, sabi niya tuwing tatawid siya sa Ilog Pasig naka-barge gusto niya tumalon para huwag na makarating ng Malacanang Palace. Biro niya niyan noon pa earlier on,” he said.
