Gov’t wants Metro Manila shift to MGCQ by end of September

By Prince Golez

The government aims to flatten the curve of infections from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) this month, National Task Force Against Covid-19 chairman and Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said.

During his visit to Caloocan City yesterday, Lorenzana said the localized implementation of quarantine measures is key to keeping the virus from spreading.

Metro Manila, the provinces of Bulacan, Batangas, and the cities of Bacolod and Tacloban are under general community quarantine until September 30.

As of Saturday, the Philippines recorded 234,570 confirmed Covid-19 cases, with 161,668 recoveries and 3,790 deaths.
