Hyundai's i30 N Hot Hatch is Getting a New Gearbox for 2021


Hyundai’s first-ever hot hatch—the i30 N is getting an upgrade very soon which adds, among other things, a dual clutch automatic.

In a series of teaser images shown, the 2021 i30 N will feature revised front and rear ends with a wider center grille. It will also get new LED headlights with V-shaped DRLs and two large exhaust pipes at the back. Additionally, for the sake of performance, Hyundai has confirmed that it’ll get 19-inch forged alloy wheels which are 14 kilograms lighter in total compared to the current i30 N.


The Korean automaker has also confirmed that it will be available with the company’s new performance-tuned 8-speed dual clutch transmission (N DCT) with its own dedicated performance shifting functions.
