Communications Secretary Martin Andanar enjoined the public to practice the spirit of “bayanihan” as the country continues to battle the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.
During the recent “Explain, Explain, Explain: Pagdu-aw sa Bukidnon” conference, Andanar highlighted the government’s BIDA Solusyon campaign that reminds people to stay safe from the virus.
“Why is BIDA Solusyon important? Because the success in our fight against Covid-19 relies on each one of us. When we follow the guidelines set, there will be no problem and you can also help prevent the spread of Covid-19,” the Presidential Communications Operations Office chief said.
The campaign encourages everyone to follow four BIDA behaviors: B stands for Bawal walang mask; I for I-sanitize ang mga kamay, iwas hawak sa mga bagay; D for Dumistansya ng isang metro; and A for Alamin ang totoong impormasyon.
“The spirit of bayanihan is so inherent among Filipinos, so I hope we can show bayanihan in our Covid-19 response. We need a strong, coordinated, and collective response to fight this virus,” said Andanar.
He added, “We encourage everyone to maintain the best behavior and practices, which are anchored on BIDA Solusyon to prevent the spread of Covid-19.”
