MalacaƱang on Thursday warned actress Liza Soberano and 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray against being used by communist terrorists.
Earlier, Armed Forces of the Philippines Southern Luzon Command chief, Maj. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. told Soberano and Gray, who have been vocal about their opinion on issues affecting the country, to avoid left-leaning groups and advised them not to follow the path of Ka Ella Colmenares.
Parlade alleged that Colmenares, sister of actress Angel Locsin, is working with the New People’s Army in Quezon.
In a youth forum of Gabriela Women’s Party recently, Soberano encouraged women and others to speak out on various social issues.
Gray, on one hand, has been vocal about the passage of the controversial anti-terror law and the shutdown of media giant ABS-CBN.
