Actor-turned-politiko Richard Gomez makes cooking easy and entertaining through his popular online show.
In the latest episode of” Goma at Home” on YouTube, the Ormoc City mayor showed his kitchen skills anew by preparing a pork and chicken adobo upon on a request from his viewers.
In the video, Gomez shared some tips on cooking adobo, including adding liver to enhance taste and poking a hole in the egg for a perfect hard-boiled egg. Cooking adobo took less than 20 minutes.
As soon as the adobo is cooked, Gomez invited his daughter Juliana to taste the popular Filipino dish.
And the verdict? Juliana enjoyed the sumptuous meal and gave his dad a thumb’s up. “It’s so good,” she says in the video. Even just the sauce, it’s good,” she adds.
Gomez told his daughter that adobo brought back high school memories. Since he had little money when he was still a student, he said he could only afford eating adobo rice with egg.
“It brings back memories of high school and college, Juliana. Dati, ito ang kinakain ko — adobo rice with egg. Sarap!” the mayor said.
