All government agencies have been facing corruption as a major problem, according to Malacañang.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque made the statement following Health Secretary Francisco Duque III’s admission that his department entered into anomalous deals in the past
“Talaga naman pong problema ang korapsiyon sa lahat ng departamento ng gobyerno,” Roque said in Thursday’s televised briefing.
The Palace official, however, reiterated the promise of President Rodrigo Duterte to spend his two remaining years in office fighting corruption
“Pangako ng Presidente igugugol niya iyong natitira niyang panahon sa opisina para labanan ang korapsiyon, kasama na po diyan sa DOH (Department of Health) at sa PhilHealth,” he also said.
Last month, Duterte ordered the Department of Justice to investigate allegations of corruption in the entire government.
