President Rodrigo Duterte already has the shortlist of candidates who will replace outgoing Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Camilo Cascolan, his spokesman said Tuesday.
Cascolan is set to retire on November 10.
“I’m sure he has a shortlist already,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised briefing.
Roque said he leaves it up to Duterte to announce his new PNP chief.
“The final choice it’s up to the President when he will issue it,” he added.
