Palace on unpaid hotel bills of returning OFWs: May pera tayo diyan

By Prince Golez

MalacaƱang assured on Friday the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) will pay its debt to hotel establishments accommodating overseas Filipino workers as quarantine facilities.

According to the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association, the OWWA has yet to pay at least 20 hotels about P250 million for their services.

“So ‘wag po kayong magalala.

Earlier, the Philippine Red Cross stopped its coronavirus testing for the government after the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. failed to pay its debt to the organization that reached over P1 billion.
