President Rodrigo Duterte cautioned policemen, military men, and civilians not to fire their guns for the New Year’s celebration.
Those who will fire their weapons would face the consequences of their actions, Duterte said during his weekly talk to the nation address Monday evening.
He added that they could also be charged with homicide or even murder if someone died as a result.
“P*** kung wala kayong utak, I am reminding ha. Policemen, military men and civilians, licensed or not, holding firearms, do not. Kasi ‘pag nahuli ka dito sa pagpaputok mo, papahirapan kita,” the President said.
“Do not give me that shit ‘yung sabihin mo, ‘Hindi ko sadya, pataas man’. If you know that if it hits the head of a person, it will kill him. You are guilty of homicide or maybe murder. Walang kalaban-laban iyong tao, mahuhulugan ng ano… Hindi mo masabi disgrasya. It is not accident, anak ng p***** i** ka, kasi bala iyan, pagputok,” he added.
