Gloria Arroyo comes out of retirement, inspects new Clark airport terminal building

Former President Gloria Arroyo won’t let the coronavirus pandemic bog down her return to government.

Arroyo, the new Presidential adviser on Clark flagship programs, visited Clark airport in her home province of Pampanga and inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of its terminal.

The former President came out of retirement after she was recently appointed as Clark adviser by President Duterte. Arroyo ended her third and final term as congresswoman of the second district of Pampanga in 2019.

In a latest Facebook post, the camp of Arroyo posted photos of the former House Speaker visiting the construction of the new Clark terminal last Thursday. She was accompanied by Clark airport officials.

“Presidential Adviser on Clark Flagship Programs & Projects Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was given a tour by Ms. Bi Yong Chungunco, CEO of LIPAD (Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corp.) at the Clark International Airport New Terminal Building last Thursday,” the Arroyo camp wrote.
