IATF reverts Isabela to GCQ until Dec. 31

By Prince Golez

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has approved the recommendation to raise the quarantine level of Isabela province, excluding Santiago City, to general community quarantine (GCQ) from modified GCQ, Malacañang announced Tuesday.

“Nagpulong ang inyong IATF kahapon at ito po ang mga naaprubahan: Una ang pag-escalate sa probinsya ng Isabela, pero hindi kasama ang Santiago City, sa general community quarantine galing po sa MGCQ,” according to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

In a virtual presser, Roque said the new quarantine classification will be effective until December 31.

“Ang paglalagay sa Isabela sa GCQ ay nakabase sa moderate-risk cross tabulation ng average daily attack rate at two-week daily growth rate,” he also said.

The spokesperson said Governor Rodito Albano III recommended that Isabela be reverted to GCQ.
