Senior citizens living in Manila are getting some Christmas love from the city government.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has started to distribute holiday gift and allowance to the city’s elders. The holiday package for Manila’s senior citizens included five kilos of rice.
“Tayo po’y namahagi ng pamaskong handog at allowance para sa ating mga minamahal na senior citizens. 
,” the mayor wrote on Facebook.
“Natanggap na po nila ang kanilang benepisyo, gift pack at tig-limang kilong bigas ngayong araw,” he said.
The mayor’s staff shared photos of the gift-giving event in Manila in time for the Christmas holiday. Mayor Isko thanked the people of Manila for making possible the holiday gift for the city’s seniors.
“Ikinagagalak po ng Lungsod ng Maynila ang inyong bawat ngiti at lubos po tayong nagpapasalamat sa bawat Manileño para sa katuparan ng programang ito.
Manila, God first!” he said.
