President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Court of Appeals (CA) Justice Jhosep Lopez as the newest Supreme Court justice.
This was confirmed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.
“Yes,” Medialdea said when asked if Duterte appointed Lopez to the high tribunal.
Lopez was elected councilor in Manila from 1992 to 1998 and from 2001 to 2006. He was appointed as Chief City Prosecutor of Manila in February 2006.
In 2012, he was appointed as CA Associate Justice.
