Hawa-hawa na! 7 employees of Sol Gen’s office test positive for COVID-19

Seven persons at the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) were found to have been infected with the COVID-19 virus.

“As of January 15, 2021, seven employees of the Office of the Solicior General tested positive for Covid-19 through RT-PCR testing,” the OSG revealed in a statement.

Because of this, the OSG informed the public that its office will “physically close its office from January 18-20, 2021.”

“During said period, no documents will be personally received by the office. Instead,” it advised the public.

“Instead, parties may email efile@osg.gov.ph for documents they intend the OSG to receive during the lockdown. All other documents may be emailed to docket@osg.gov.ph,” it added.

While closed, the office will be subjected to disinfection.

“Only personnel from the sanitation and disinfection team will be allowed in the premises,” the OSG said.

“All other employees will continue to perform their work/functions under alternative work arrangements,” it added.

The Supreme Court (SC) had announced on Friday (Jan. 15) that it has postponed the scheduled Jan. 19 oral arguments over the petitions questioning the constitutionality of the Anti-Terrorism Law.

The SC explained it made the decision after a staff of the OSG and an assistant solicitor general who will participate in the oral arguments have tested positive for COVID-19.
