Is our favorite local superhero returning to the big screen?
Former San Juan congressional bet Edu Manzano dropped a teaser image of his “Captain Barbell” look in his latest Instagram post.
The actor-turned-politiko appeared to be reminiscing about his superhero days after recovering his old costume. Manzano starred as the high-flying and crime-fighting superhero in Mars Ravelo’s Captain Barbell film in 1986.
“Capt Barbel is back!?” Manzano wrote on Instagram.
Manzano shared that his Capt.Barbell costume was lost in the 1980s but was finally recovered.
“Nawala in 1986 pero natagpuan sa Cavite kahapon sa bahay ng anak ni Mars Ravelo na si Ms. Rita. Salamat Louie & Rita sa mga magagandang alaala. #angbato #lipadcaptbarbel #bida #pinoysuperhero #marsravelo,” he said.
The former Makati City vice mayor still looked fit and strong in case of a hero film comeback.
