The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases has approved the request of the Philippine National Police (PNP), through its Air Unit, to conduct an Initial Type Rating Training for Pilots.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, however, said the training must be conducted in a non-quarantine hotel.
“The request of the PNP, through their Air Unit, to conduct an Initial Type Rating Training for Pilots is hereby approved,” IATF Resolution No. 111 said.
According to the Task Force, the training provider may transfer the training to a hotel granted a Certificate of Authority to Operate for Staycation (CAOS) by the Department of Tourism (DOT).
“The intended training site may convert from a quarantine hotel to a staycation hotel by applying for a CAOS with DOT,” the reso furthered.
