Self-styled fact checker Rappler is the least trusted media organization in the Philippines, according to a survey by the public relations firm Publicus Asia.
Poll results showed Rappler’s total low trust rating at 37.27 percent, the highest among all media organizations included in the survey. Its total high trust rating is 24.93 percent.
CNN Philippines is the most trusted media organization, with a total high trust rating of 57.87 percent and a low of 9.67 percent.
Politiko’s high trust rating is 17.67 percent and a low of 25 percent, while Abante, its sister media firm, has a high trust rating of 21.60 percent and a low of 25.47 percent.
Other media organizations which registered a high trust rating of above 50 percent include GMA Network (54.60) and Philippine Daily Inquirer (50.93).
Publicus Asia conducted the survey nationwide from March 20-29, 2021. It had 1,500 respondents drawn from an online research panel of approximately 100,000 Filipino registered voters, which was maintained by a Singapore-based firm.
