Slots filled in 24 hours: 2.3K volunteers sign up for Robredo’s teleconsultation project

Vice President Leni Robredo’s teleconsultation project has received an overwhelming response from volunteers, with over 2,300 doctors and non-medical personnel signing up even before its launch.

Robredo on Wednesday (April 7) said the Office of the Vice President (OVP) is temporarily closing the sign up for this week since they want to bring all volunteers on board first for the project rollout.

“24 hours after we posted our call for medical and non-medical volunteers, more than 2,300 volunteers signed up already!! We are overwhelmed and inspired by everyone’s kindness and desire to be of help,” she said in a Facebook post.

Robredo said the OVP will seek to manage the project in the best way possible by starting the onboarding sessions by batch for the volunteers.

“To those who have been planning to join but have not signed up yet, please stay tuned for further announcements,” she said.

Robredo has been pushing for more aggressive COVID-19 testing and contact tracing in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.
