Sol Aragones mourns passing of Edwin Sevidal: Paalam Radyo Patrol 37

The ABS-CBN family is mourning the loss of one of their own.

Edwin Sevidal, ABS-CBN reporter and head for radio news gathering, passed away last Thursday at the age of 49. Sevidal, also known as Radyo Patrol 37, started to work at ABS-CBN in 1996 as a DZMM production assistant. He held various posts from researcher, executive producer, reporter to desk editor.

One of the people saddened by the loss of Sevidal is former ABS-CBN journalist and now Laguna 3rd District Rep. Sol Aragones.

The former reporter paid tribute to Sevidal via social media, saying he was a good friend and a competent journalist.

“Paalam sa isang kaibigan at mahusay na mamamahayag. Pumanaw po si Edwin Sevidal dahil sa Covid 19,” she wrote on Instagram.

Aragones said she will not forget the stories reported by Sevidal. She also remembered that they used to cover events together when she was still working at the broadcast network.

“Hindi namin makakalimutan ang bawat istoryang ibinalita mo. Hindi ko rin makakalimutan ang mga coverage na magkasama tayo. Paalam. Dzmm Radyo Patrol 37 (Head of Radio News Gathering Abs-Cbn) Edwin Sevidal🙏🙏🙏” she said.
