Gov’t to go all-out to stem illegal sale of Covid-19 vaccines: ‘Mahiya naman kayo’

The government will go “all-out” to promptly deal with the illegal selling of Covid-19 vaccines, according to Malacañang.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque made the statement after a nurse at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center in Manila was arrested for allegedly selling at least P1 million worth of Sinovac vaccines.

“Iniimbestigahan pa po yan. Meron naman pong batch numbers yan para ma trace kung saan intended yang bakuna na yan. Government will go all out in investigating kung sino po ang nasa likod ng bentahan nito kasi hindi po binebenta ang mga bakuna,” Roque said in a televised briefing Monday.

“Hindi po tayo papayag na nanakawin ang bakuna para magkaroon ng pera ang iba. Para sa pandemiya po ito. Mga kababayan, mahiya naman kayo kung pagkakakitaan nyo pa itong pagdadalamhati ng ating bayan dahil nga po sa pandemiya. Mahiya po kayo,” he added.
