Broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez is not letting her guard down against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Korina has been fully vaccinated but continued to follow health measures, including wearing a mask outdoors. Taking ivermectin is also part of the health regimen of the wife of former Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas.
Korina got candid about her health and quest for the “best life” in her latest Facebook post.
“Am certified vaccinated. But am not totally immune to infection. So I STILL wear a mask and stay away from crowds,” she said.
Regular vitamins and coronavirus testing are also a staple for Korina during the pandemic.
“I take my Vit C, D and zinc daily. I take ivermectin every two weeks. I still quarantine and take Covid tests before joining groups. The BEST of life is yet to come. Let’s all be around when that happens.
#BestLife,” she said.
The country’s health department earlier advised the public against the purchase and use of Ivermectin veterinary products against COVID-19 since it is used for treatment of parasites in certain animals.
The drug has not approval from the Food and Drug Administration for treatment for any viral infection. Clinical trials on the use of ivermectin for COVID-19 are still ongoing.
Some groups however believe that ivermectin can help prevent severe or critical coronavirus illness when taken.
