President Rodrigo Duterte’s order to escort unvaccinated people back to their homes was just an “expression of frustration,” Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said.

Duterte earlier instructed policemen and barangay officials not to let people unvaccinated against Covid-19 leave their homes to prevent the spread of virus within the community.

Nograles said the President was only confused why some people are still reluctant to get a vaccine.

“I guess it’s, number one, an expression lang ng frustration na hindi niya maintindihan kung bakit ayaw magpabakuna, and number two, dinidiin niya lang talaga ang importance ng pagpapabakuna,” the official told DZBB in an interview.

He added that Duterte was merely reminding the public about the importance of Covid-19 vaccination.

“Frustration niya lang yun sa mga, hindi niya maunawaan na bakit magpabakuna na it’s number one, for your safety; number two, para sa safety din ng pamilya mo, at number three, para sa safety din ng komunidad mo. So kailangan din nating magpabakuna lahat,” said Nograles.
