P7K per slot: ‘Rosebud’ nabbed over vaccine racket

Former narcotics agent Mary “Rosebud” Ong was arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation in Pasay City Saturday (July 24) for allegedly selling COVID-19 vaccination slots.

NBI agents told Politiko that Ong was asking for P7,000 per person for a vaccination slot. She is currently detained at the NBI headquarters.

Ong will be charged with estafa, and violation of Republic Act 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, and RA 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

“Rosebud” gained fame for accusing Senator Panfilo Lacson of involvement in illegal activities such as kidnapping for ransom and summary executions when he was part of the Philippine National Police.
