Another business venture: Pacquiao rolls out ‘PacPay’ digital wallet

There’s a new e-wallet platform in town.

Bilyonaryo Manny Pacquiao has launched “PacPay” a digital wallet that gives people another contactless way to pay. It’s the latest business venture of Pacquiao, who is not only a boxer but also a senator, businessman, and product endorser.

“Proud to announce that Singapore’s Pac Technologies, together with Aleta Planet, has launched PacPay – a limited edition digital card for all my fans,” Pacquiao said.

“A big thank you to all my fans for recognising the strength we have together. Because together is how we change the world,” he said.

Apart from giving users a platform to connect with Pacquiao, the PacPay digital card can be used to manage money and expenses, remit funds, support charity, pay in store and online, among others.

It also offers privileges such as private event tickets, limited edition autographed merchandise, discounts, game rewards and other benefits of the PacPay Loyalty program.

“Through PacPay, my fans can now contribute to the charitable causes that I champion. Let us unite and fight for those less fortunate. Many of them need our help during these difficult times,” Pacquiao said.

The limited edition PacPay card is accepted in 180 countries, covering over 61 million merchants across the world.

“Those who have signed up to be part of the PacPay Rewards Programme, may you enjoy the exclusive memorabilia, autographed merchandise and other attractive rewards that will be included in the near future,” Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao, not only a boxer but also a senator and a businessman, also thanked his fans “for your love, friendship and support” through the years.

The digital wallet was launched ahead of Pacquiao’s match against Yordenis Ugas. The 42-year-old Filipino boxer was beaten by the Cuban fighter via unanimous decision during their bout in Las Vegas August 22, 2021.
