Duterte to attend PDP-Laban convention, either physically or virtually

President Rodrigo Duterte will attend the PDP-Laban’s national convention in Pampanga tomorrow, September 8, Malacañang said.

In a virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte will either have a personal or virtual appearance in the national assembly.

“I also know that the PDP-Laban convention will proceed as scheduled on a different venue dahil MECQ sa original venue nila sa Bulacan. They apparently have transferred to Pampanga,” according to Roque.

“There is a possibility that the President will make a personal appearance pero may back up din po na virtual appearance,” he added.

During the ruling party’s national convention, members are expected to nominate and proclaim its official candidates in the 2022 polls.

Earlier, the PDP-Laban endorsed the tandem of Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go and President Rodrigo Duterte in next year’s elections.
