Ilocos Norte will be placed under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from September 7 to 30, Malacañang said Tuesday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced yesterday that the province would be under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions.
“Ang Ilocos Norte ay nasa MECQ mula September 7 to 30. Ang naunang classification po ng Ilocos Norte ay GCQ with heightened restrictions,” he said during his virtual presser.
Meanwhile, Roque said the guidelines for the pilot-test localized lockdowns in the National Capital Region (NCR) are still being discussed.
“Tungkol naman sa pilot implementation guidelines sa NCR, ito ay kasalukuyang pinag-uusapan pa. Babalitaan namin kayo as soon as information becomes available,” he added.
