Senator Francis Pangilinan is remembering famous photographer Raymund Isaac following his heartbreaking death.
The senator mourned the loss of Isaac and wrote a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, sharing his memories about his “extremely talented artist.”
Isaac, a popular celebrity and fashion photographer, passed away on Sept. 3, 2021 after battling the coronavirus disease. He was 59. Isaac was rushed to a hospital in California, United States, due to COVID-19 last July.
“The news of Raymund’s passing is heart breaking,” Pangilinan said in a Facebook post.
Isaac took the annual Christmas photographs of the Pangilinan family for the past 20 years. The last time they were together was in 2019.
Pangilinan shared some of the family photos taken by Isaac “to honor him, his passion and his unyielding dedication to his craft.”
“They were beautiful, amazing photos from an extremely talented artist,” the senator commented.
“Our last traditional Christmas family photo prior to Covid was taken by Raymund in 2019. Huli na pala ‘yun. He will be terribly missed,” he said.
When Isaac got sick, Pangilinan said he and the rest of the members of the La Salle Greenhills batch 1981 prayed hard for his recovery. The former schoolmates have a Viber chat group to keep in touch.
“We in our LSGH Batch 81 viber thread, stormed heaven with prayers but then the Almighty had other plans for you, Raymund,” he said.
“God now has a truly talented, wonderful, loving, dedicated and compassionate professional photographer in Paradise by His side,” he said.
Pangilinan extended his condolences to the family and friends of Isaac, saying he will be missed.
“Rest in peace, Raymund. You fought hard and it is now time to rest in God’s embrace. No more pain for you our dear family friend, my classmate. Sharon, myself, KC, Kakie, Yellie and Miguel will surely miss you. Our deepest condolences to the Isaac family and to his loved ones.
,” he said.
