Robredo will win if she runs for president in 2022 — Trillanes

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is confident of the victory of Vice President Leni Robredo if she decides to seek the presidency next year.

Trillanes, in a latest post on Twitter, said he hopes Robredo would consider running for president. The former senator earlier declared his intention to run for president in next year’s elections but is willing to set aside his ambition if Robredo decides to seek the highest post of the country.

Trillanes made the comment after a netizen described him as the best presidential bet for the country. Twitter user @OryangOryang said Trillanes “not the boksingero” alluding to Sen. Manny Pacquiao is the “best for our country.”

Trillanes thanked the netizen for the support and offered to respond to the “call of duty” if needed.

“Thank you for the trust and support, ma’am. Be assured that we are prepared to answer the call of duty in case the situation warrants it,” he said.

” In the meantime, let’s hope that VP Leni would run because she would surely win if she does,’ he said.

Robredo is still undecided on whether to run for president or seek a local post in her home province of Camarines Sur in next year’s elections. Her loyal supporters have clamored for Robredo’s presidential bid to beat President Duterte’s anointed one in the 2022 polls.
