President Rodrigo Duterte has named Undersecretary Bernie Cruz as the the acting chief of Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), according to Malacañang.
In a statement Saturday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte signed the appointment paper of Cruz on October 28, 2021.
“The Palace confirms that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte signed last October 28, 2021 the appointment of Mr. Bernie Ferrer Cruz as Acting Secretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform,” said Roque.
Cruz replaced Secretary John Castriciones who resigned to run for senator in the 2022 elections.
“We are confident that Acting Secretary Cruz will continue to oversee the completion of DAR’s programs and projects in the remaining months of the current government,” the Palace official said.
