Senator Bong Go’s office distributed food packs, vitamins, face masks and shields to religious leaders in Malolos City, Bulacan on Monday.
The senator’s team organized the relief activity for religious leaders in the province “who are trying to cope with the effects of the ongoing pandemic.”
Go acknowledged the inconveniences created by the virus in the daily lives of the residents in the area in a video message.
He reassured them that the country would survive these trying times if everyone worked together and followed the government’s rules for reducing Covid-19 transmission and spread. He also asked the residents to get vaccinated so they are protected against the virus.
“Mga kababayan ko, magtulungan lang po tayo. Magbayanihan po tayo at magmalasakit po tayo sa ating kapwa Pilipino. Ginagawa po lahat ng gobyerno para po malampasan natin itong krisis na ito. ‘Pag nasa priority list na po kayo magpabakuna na po kayo para po protektado kayo,” said Go.
The items were given to 930 religious leaders at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in Malolos City.
The activity was conducted in batches to ensure all protocols against Covid-19 were strictly observed.
His staff gave selected residents new pairs of shoes or bicycles which they can use for a more convenient commute. They also gave computer tablets to help children access educational materials for their classes under the blended learning approach.
