The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has approved the request of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to conduct a one-day simulation voting on October 23, Malacañang announced Friday.
The simulation exercise will be held in San Juan City.
“Also approved in the IATF’s 144th meeting is the request of the Commission on Elections to conduct voting simulation exercises on October 23, 2021 in San Juan City,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a press statement.
Roque said the government’s Covid-19 task force also greenlighted the request of the Intramuros Administration to implement programs in Fort Santiago and the Baluarte San Diego for fully vaccinated senior citizens aged 65 and above.
They are, however, subject to conditions, he added.
