‘Di na uubra paawa! Tito Sotto OKs transfer of Pharmally execs Linconn Ong, Mohit Dargani to Pasay jail

Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation executives Linconn Ong and Mohit Dargani are set to be transferred to the Pasay City Jail Monday (November 29) over their failure to present the company’s financial documents, which have been requested by the Senate blue ribbon committee.

Senate President Vicente Sotto III confirmed to reporters Sunday (November 28) that he had signed the commitment order to Pasay City Jail for Ong and Dargani.

“Yes. Blue ribbon requested. I signed already,” Sotto said.

Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Rene Samonte recommended that the transfer of Ong and Dargani from the Senate premises push through after Dargani failed to locate the documents sought by the Senate panel, which is investigating the multibillion-peso pandemic supply contracts bagged by Pharmally.

The Senate blue ribbon committee ordered the transfer of Ong and Dargani to the Pasay City Jail last week for allegedly lying to senators. Dargani appealed the decision, asking for a one-day extension for locate the financial documents asked by the panel.

However, Samonte said Dargani was unable to say where the documents were located.

“It seems wala talagang boxes and boxes of documents, or ayaw ilabas kung meron man. I recommend ituloy na ang transfer order asap. I will see and talk to them pag may commitment order na to Pasay city jail,” Samonte said in a text message shared by Senator Richard Gordon, the committee chairman.
