President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday visited the victims of Typhoon Odette in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
At the Kabankalan City Hall, Duterte presided over a meeting with local officials, uniformed personnel, and officials from the national and local based government agencies to assess the extent of Typhoon Odette’s damage.
They also discussed the response and relief efforts of concerned government agencies.
Duterte likewise witnessed the turnover of relief goods which were distributed by Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Joselito Bautista to typhoon victims.
Negros Occidental reportedly suffered around P5 billion worth of damage to its infrastructure and agriculture due to the storm.
