Takot ka Harry? Palace silent on Mocha Uson’s quarantine violation

By Prince Golez

Malacañang has chosen to keep mum on blogger and starlet Mocha Uson’s recent visit to Lian, Batangas where hundreds of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) were undergoing the mandatory 14-day period of quarantine.

A video circulated online showed Uson addressing more than 300 quarantined overseas Filipino workers over the weekend. Mass gatherings are prohibited under the government’s guidelines on enhanced community quarantine.

In a virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that he would leave it to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to comment on the matter.

“Si Binibining Mocha Uson po ay nagtatrabaho ngayon sa OWWA. So ipo-forward po namin itong information na ito doon sa OWWA Administrator at siya po ang bahalang magdesisyon,” added Roque.

Uson, who resigned from her post as Assistant Communication Secretary in 2018, is currently the Deputy Executive Director of the OWWA.
