American boy! Gabby Lopez admits voting during the 2016 US elections

ABS-CBN chairman emeritus Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III has admitted he is not only an American passport holder but also did vote during the 2016 United States Presidential Elections.

During the interpellation of Dumper Party-list Rep. Claudine “Dendee” Bautista during Wednesday joint congressional inquiry of the House committee on legislative franchises and of good government and public accountability, Lopez admitted the he participated and voted during the 2016 U.S. polls subsequently won by Republican bet Donald Trump.

“As an American citizen, did you ever vote in the U.S. elections?” Baustista asked Lopez

“Yes your honor, I voted in 2016,” Lopez’s response to Bautista’s query.

Lopez also admitted that he indicated that he’s an American citizen whenever he filled up embarkation cards issued by the Bureau of Immigration every time he arrived in the country from a foreign trip.

But Lopez argued that the embarkation card issued by BI didn’t indicate options for individuals with multiple citizenship.

Lopez also stressed that he applied as a Filipino citizen when he applied for college in the US.
