Senator Sherwin Gatchalian has dropped hints of wedding plans after asking Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddyboy Locsin Jr. to be his godfather when he gets married.
And the reason he wants Locsin to be a ninong? Gatchalian admitted that he idolizes Locsin, a former lawmaker, tv host and presidential speechwriter.
The lawmaker from Valenzuela is currently dating beauty queen-turned-actress Bianca Manalo for months now.
“Sec, can I get you as a Ninong when I get married? Idol kita eh since I was still a college kid,” Gatchalian asked Locsin on Twitter.
The senator was commenting on Locsin’s tweet advising a couple having difficulty getting married due to quarantine restrictions. Locsin said he would check if a consul can officiate a wedding via video conference.
“You need a consul? Will check if zoom is legal,” the former Philippine ambassador to the United Nations told a foreigner wishing to marry his Filipina girlfriend.
