No time for trolls. This in a nutshell was Sen. Panfilo Lacson’s reason for blocking bashers from his Twitter account.
Lacson, in a tweet early Saturday, said that while he looks forward to healthy discussions, he does not have time for insults and impertinent comments.
“Blocking impertinence and nonsense on Twitter means looking forward to free time better spent,” he said.
Lacson had been under attack by trolls over the proposed Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020, which he sponsored in the Senate, was adopted by the House of Representatives and was transmitted to Malacanang for President Rodrigo Duterte’s signature.
Earlier, Lacson noted a massive disinformation campaign against the anti-terrorism measure. He had gone on radio and television, as well as on his own Twitter account, to correct misimpressions about the bill.
“Sana nga mga hinaing at matalinong talakayan ng mga isyu; hindi puro insulto at impertinenteng komento na walang kinalaman sa diskurso,” he said in a separate tweet.
