Abogado Thorrsson Montes Keith said Morales’ head executive assistant, Estrobal Laborte, would join him in exposing the “widespread” corruption in PhilHealth.

“Haharap din po si Laborte (sa Senate), sasabihin po niya ang totoo dahil sa korapsyon,” said Keith in an interview with DZBB.

Last week, Keith resigned as anti-fraud legal officer of PhilHealth along with Laborte, who recruited him to PhilHealth in October 2019.

But Morales is adamant that Laborte had tendered his resignation in the middle of July to pursue his doctorate and this would take effect by end-August.

But Keith said Laborte did not cite the real reason for his departure in his resignation letter. “Siyempre po kasi pagiinitan siya kung sinabi nya (totoo),” said Keith.

On July 27, Senate President Tito Sotto and Senator Ping Lacson filed a resolution calling for a legislative probe into the alleged corruption in PhilHealth.
