Sharon Cuneta is still hurting after President Rodrigo Duterte supposedly left her brother, Chet, in the air when he ran for Pasay City mayor in 2019.
In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, Cuneta expressed dismay because her brother’s camp never received help from Duterte even if it was the President who convinced Chet to run.
“[H]E HIMSELF ASKED & CONVINCED MY BROTHER TO RUN FOR MAYOR OF PASAY. MAY NARINIG BA KAYO SA AKIN? WALA,” she said.
The Megastar said it was a shock for them when Duterte also endorsed Chet’s opponent, Emi Calixto-Rubiano, who eventually won the mayoralty race.
“Nasaktan kami at ang mga anak ko. Nagkabaon-baon sa utang ang kapatid ko kasi wala naman kaming nakuhang tulong. Tuwang-tuwa kami nung inenodrse siya ng Pangulo at ni Inday Sara. Tapos nagulat kami pati ang kalaban niya ay inendorso rin. MAY NARINIG BA KAYO SA AMIN KAHIT NASAKTAN KAMI? WALA,” Cuneta said.
The Megastar, however, said she has had enough of the bashing by Duterte’s supporters over her daughter Frankie’s outspokenness.
Frankie Pangilinan has received threats for speaking out against rape and victim shaming.
“AYOKO MAKASAMA ANG MGA TULAD NINYONG WALANG AWA O PUSO. ILANG BESES NA KAMI NASAKTAN. NAPAKASAMA KO NAMANG ASAWA AT INA PAG HINAYAAN KO PA NA MAGPATULOY YUNG NG ANO, NAKA-SMILE LANG LAGI?” Cuneta said.
