Palace: Foreigners can enter Philippines starting Aug. 1

Starting August 1, foreign nationals with long-term visas will be allowed entry into the Philippines, Malacañang announced Friday.

In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that the government has allowed the entry of foreigners with long-stay visas in the country.

“The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases yesterday, July 16, allowed the entry of foreign nationals with long-term visas in the country beginning August 1, 2020,” said Roque.

Prior to entry of these foreign nationals, the following conditions should be met:

-They must first have valid and existing visas at the time of the entry.

-They are subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers at the port and date of entry, as returning overseas Filipinos will be given priority; and

-They must secure a pre-booked accredited quarantine facility and a pre-booked Covid-19 testing provider.
